In Hollywood, we have our walk of fame. In NYC they now have their “Ride of Fame.”
Gray Line New York has been pushing stellar service in the NY tourism industry since 1926. Their famed double-decker buses transport New York City visitors, and even curious residents, to every point of interest in the world’s grandest city. Most recently, Gray Line New York has begun a campaign know as the “Ride of Fame,” in which they are dedicating the imagery and dedication of their buses to New Yorkers who they wish to recognize as “exemplary figures.”
On Tuesday, June 8, 2010, Gray Line honored none other than Real Estate Mogul, and spotlight snagger Donald Trump. As you can see in the photo, the ribbon-cutting was hosted just outside of the Trump Tower on 5th Ave., and Mr. Trump was accompanied by the newly crowned Miss U.S.A., Rima Fakih.
It is only appropriate that “The Donald,” receive such an honor, especially considering his ever-presence in the realm of contemporary pop-culture. He is no longer “that rich guy” that you’d love to get a business meeting with. He’s the guy who has a keen sense of humor to match his business wit that you’d just love to “hang out” with.
While that’ll more than likely never happen for you, you can enjoy the next best thing, and that’s a zip on a double decker bus boasting the likeness of Donald Trump. While rolling on the top deck, you can work your Donald-glare, and perhaps tell a few onlookers they’re fired as you roll down Broadway.
In all sincerity, if you’re looking to take in a Gray Line tour, I highly recommend checking out the 1998 documentary, “The Cruise,” before embarking on your journey.
